India Dhauli Ganga Hydroelecric Power Generation Tunnel
Summary
Construction of the Dauri River hydroelectric dam in Village Chirkhila, Post Garguwa, Tehsil Dharchula, India. The construction of a hydroelectric dam was constructed in the high mountains (3,000-4,000 m) of the Himalayas in northern India to generate electricity from tributaries to provide living power to nearby areas using the NATM/blasting method. Due to the nature of the region, special function tunnels such as Desilting Basin Tunnel were designed and constructed safely inside the intake tunnel at the top of the dam to use the rapid flow of the Himalayan alpine region as power generation water.
